Studio portrait of 419326 Flight Lieutenant (Flt Lt) Lloyd Ashwin Morris. Morris of Ivanhoe, Vic, enlisted on 18 July 1942. He was attached to an American Liberator Squadron and served at Nadzab, Kavieng and Borneo. Quote from "The Ivanarian", a magazine of the Ivanhoe Grammar School in Melbourne, Vic which honoured "old boys" who had enlisted and died "He was engaged in Ferry service across the Pacific when he became suddenly ill and was taken to hospital in San Francisco immediately on arrival". Flt Lt Morris died of illness in San Francisco on 12 August 1945, aged 28. He is buried in San Bruno (Golden Gate) National Cemetery, California, United States of America.
