Studio portrait of NX42493 Private (Pte) John Stephen Williams, 2/19 Battalion, of Marrickville, NSW. A labourer prior to enlistment from Paddington on 11 August 1941. Pte Williams was reported missing in Malaya and was presumed dead on 15 February 1942, aged 22. He has no known grave and his name is recorded on the Singapore Memorial.
