89 x 1 5/8 x 2 1/2 nitrate negatives taken by 5798 Gunner (Gnr) Maurice Charles Thompson, 2nd Bde Australian Field Artillery, in the Middle East. Gnr Thompson died of wounds in France on 29 April 1918. A T.C. Williams "Welcome Nugget" tobacco tin with "FILMS" inscribed on front was found on Gnr Thompson's body, containing these 89 negatives taken with a Kodak West Pocket Autographic camera.
