This 18 page typed manuscript is an extended narrative of Rankine's time as Commander of C Company, 8th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, and includes descriptions of training at Canungra Jungle Training Centre, initial deployment to South Vietnam, personnel in the Company and Battalion, and an extensive description of operations in the Long Hai Mountains (Operation Hammersley).
