A memorial card incorporating a studio portrait of 2292 Private (Pte) George Stanley Henry, 45th Battalion, of Sydney, NSW. The portrait has been superimposed on a battlefield scene with two soldiers in the foreground. A labourer prior to enlistment he embarked with the 4th Reinforcements aboard HMAT Wiltshire (A18) on 22 August 1916. Pte Henry was killed in action in France on 28 March 1918, aged 27 years. He has no known grave and his name is recorded on the Australian National Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France.
