Australian War Memorial, Canberra. Mrs Matsue Matsuo proceeding to the Japanese midget submarine. The submarine, comprising three sections, is built from the wreckage of two submarines destroyed during the Japanese raid on Sydney Harbour on 31st May 1942. Her son Keiu Matsuo, lost his life in one of the vessels during the attack. Identified personnel are Mr W R Lancaster , Director of the Australian War Memorial (2); Mrs Fujie Saeki (3); Professor Tadakazu Matsumoto (4).
