Studio portrait of 2013 Private (Pte) Reginald Trezise, 57th Battalion, of Williamstown, Vic. A railway employee prior to enlisting in March 1916, Pte Trezise embarked from Melbourne with the 3rd Reinforcements aboard HMAT Ajana (A31) on 8 July 1916. Pte Trezise was serving with the 59th Battalion when he was killed in action at Zonnebeke, Belgium, on 15 October 1917. He was 19 years of age. Pte Trezise's brother 298 Pte Leslie Trezise, 24th Battalion, was killed in action, near Flers, France, on 14 March 1917, aged 20.
