Description

Collection relating to the Second World War service of 256274 Flight Lieutenant Harry Morrell Williams, Royal Australian Air Force. Collection consists of letters sent between Harry Williams and his wife and parents. In the collection there are 9 letters written by Harry to his wife Helen; 93 letters written to Harry from his wife; 81 letters written by Harry to his parents and 18 letters written by his parents to Harry. Other letters in the collection are from a family friend Margaret, ACW Edie Brennan, 256119 Flying Officer Norman Henry King and from his nephew David.

Also contained in the collection are 10 telegrams; 8 empty envelopes; two editions of the publication 'Guinea Gold'; two original pay books belonging to Williams; one letter from the Air Board to Williams on his cessation of service; one letter to Williams from Buckley & Hughes accountants; two letters to Mrs P.L. Williams; One Commonwealth saving bank statement and one notice of regular meeting from Wesley Collegians Lodge No 368.
