Studio portrait of 422612 Flying Officer (FO) Thomas Roberts Millar, RAAF, attached to No. 31 Squadron South African Air Force, of Mosman, NSW. FO Millar enlisted on 22 May 1942 and trained as an observer in Australia and England. On 12 October 1944 he was a crew member of Liberator aircraft VI K.H. 158 which was lost near Genoa, Italy. The aircraft was never found and the eight crew men onboard were presumed killed. FO Millar was 28 years of age.
