Studio portrait of 3013A Pte Frederick George White, 31st Battalion, of Townsville, Qld, son of Alfred and Sophy White. A labourer prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Ceramic (A40) on 14 April 1916. He died of sickness on 7 December 1916, in the Sydney Hall Military Hospital, Weymouth, England, aged 23. He is buried in the Melcombe Regis Cemetery, Weymouth.
