Informal portrait of NX54451 Trooper (Tpr) Allen Mills, 2/7 Armoured Regiment, of Katoomba, NSW. Tpr Mills worked as a tractor hand prior to enlisting in November 1941. He was admitted to hospital in November 1943 with a pulmonary illness which was later diagnosed as tuberculosis. Tpr Mills was permanently hospitalised and discharged on medical grounds on 21 June 1945. He died in Victoria on 2 February 1946, aged 24.
