Informal portrait of four brothers, left to right: SX12822 Gunner (Gnr) Henry Daniel Dadds, SX12820 Gnr James Jury Dadds, SX23058 Private (Pte) Arthur Neal Dadds and SX 12821 Gnr Frank Dadds. Gnr Henry Dadds, Gnr James Dadds and Gnr Frank Dadds all enlisted from Magill, SA, on 17 May 1941 and served with the 2/7th Field Regiment Royal Australian Artillery. Gnr James Dadds died in Egypt on 1 November 1942 from wounds received in action. Gnr Henry Dadds returned to Australia and was discharged on 2 January 1946 with the rank of Lance Bombardier. Gnr Frank Dadds also returned to Australia and was discharged on 1 February 1946 with the rank of Lance Bombardier. Pte Arthur Dadds enlisted from Beulah Park, SA, on 15 September 1941 and served in Australia with the 10/48th Australian Infantry Battalion. He was discharged on 22 November 1945.
