Studio portrait of 4591 Private (Pte) Alexander McIntyre, 26th Battalion, of Cairns, Qld. A labourer prior to enlisting in November 1915, Pte McIntyre embarked from Brisbane with the 11th Reinforcements on board HMAT Star of Victoria (A16) on 30 March 1916. Pte McIntyre was killed in action at Villers-Bretonneux on 18 July 1918. He was 28 years of age.
