Outdoor portrait of F3208 Able Seaman (AB) William John O'Brien, HMAS Perth, of Perth, WA. He enlisted from Fremantle on 21 October 1940. AB O'Brien was killed in action on 1 March 1942 when HMAS Perth was sunk by Japanese destroyers in the Sunda Strait, aged 19. His name is commemorated on the Plymouth Naval Memorial, United Kingdom.
