Studio portrait of 24576 Officer Steward Lionel Rothbaum, HMAS Sydney II, of Narembeen, WA who enlisted in the RAN on 5 September 1940. Steward Rothbaum was killed in action, aged 19, when HMAS Sydney II was sunk in the Indian Ocean by the German auxiliary cruiser Kormoran on 20 November 1941.
