Group portrait of members of No 2 Platoon, G Company, 6th Reinforcements of 2/2 Battalion at Greta Camp in the Hunter Valley, NSW prior to embarkation. The soldiers are grouped outside a Salvation Army centre, in front of a sign depicting a kangaroo and the words "Hop in. You're welcome." Captioned on the reverse is the sentiment "Farewell Sydney / We'll be back."
