Sub-series 1 uses the numbering system imposed on AWM4 - 1st Australian Imperial Force unit war diaries to indicate the corps and particular units. Amongst the items featured in this sub-series are programs and souvenirs for performances by the ANZAC Coves. The ANZAC Coves were created by order of General Birdwood in 1917. The earliest program relating to the ANZAC Coves is for a production of 'Dick Whittington and his cat'. The oldest is dated August 1918. Also included is a brief history of the Coves written by the manager, Rannal Carlisle.
