Informal portrait of 21977 Warrant Officer Class 2 (WO2) John Albert "Chesty" Bond, Royal Australian Armoured Corps, of Willoughby, NSW. WO2 Bond was killed in action near Lang-Vei, South Vietnam, on 25 April 1969. At the time of his death he was attached to a US Army task force and was posthumously awarded the US Bronze Star. WO2 Bond was 40 years of age.
