Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of Paymaster Sub Lieutenant Charles McGregor Mitchell, Royal Australian Navy. The collection consists of a letter, dated 9 November 1941, from Mitchell to his sister Nance Estelle Mitchell. Mitchell served on HMAS Sydney, and was killed in action on 20 November 1941, during HMAS Sydney's action against the German cruiser Kormoran.
