Studio portrait of 16 Private (Pte) Alfred George Sinigear, 32nd Battalion. A clerk of Blackwood, SA, prior to enlistment, he embarked on HMAT Geelong on 18 November 1915. Later promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal, he was killed in action at the battle of Fromelles on 19 July 1916; he was aged 19 years.
