Studio portrait of H/610 Able Seaman (AB) Dennis Francis White, RAN, attached to the Merchant Navy, of Collinsvale, Tas. A farmer prior to enlistment, he embarked from Hobart on 8 January 1940. A crew member of DEMS Wollongong, AB White died at sea on 29 April 1943, aged 28. He has no known grave and his name is commemorated on the Plymouth Naval Memorial, United Kingdom.
