Grave of 2107 Private (Pte) Charles Marshall Lippiatt, 39th Battalion. A farmer from Scotsburn, Vic prior to enlistment, Pte Lippiatt embarked with the 3rd Reinforcements from Melbourne on HMAT Shropshire on 25 September 1916. On 29 May 1917 he was killed in action at Messines aged 23 and was buried in the Strand Military Cemetery, Belgium.
