Description
Untitled memoir by William Robert Bennett relating to his experiences during the Second World War, the post-war period, and service in Korea. Some of the author's recollections of serving during the Second World War are detailed; Including being attached to a Commando raid in France, flying in support of the D-Day landings at Normandy, the action for which he received the DFC, and finally capture after being shot down. The author's experiences with No.77 Squadron RAAF in Korea are detailed, with some additional notes on his post-conflict career in defence. An appendix is included providing additional information of a visit to Falaise during the Second World War after a raid on the region.
