5 page typescript manuscript entitled "340 Radar unit: Bat Island - Admiralty Islands". The manuscript summarises the authors experiences of training on the Radar system in 1943. The nature of service in a Radar unit in the Southwest Pacific Area is detailed, including the process of setting up the LW/AW radar system. The nature of day to day life is included, such as dealing with rats, water, disease and food. The author includes a brief summary of his post-war military career in both the active, and general reserve.
