Studio portrait of 4726 Private (Pte) Cecil Gordon Lindsay, 20th Battalion, of Redfern, NSW. A labourer prior to enlisting in November 1915, Pte Lindsay embarked from Sydney with the 12th Reinforcements on board HMAT Ceramic (HMAT) on 13 April 1916. He was killed in action at Lagnicourt, France, on 15 April 1917. Pte Lindsay was 25 years of age.
