Studio portrait of 4782 Private (Pte) Richard Leonard Williams, 27th Battalion, of Henley Beach, SA. A station hand prior to enlisting in February 1916, Pte Williams embarked from Adelaide with the 12th Reinforcements on board HMAT Aeneas (A60) on 11 April 1916. He was killed in action in France on 5 November 1916. Pte Williams was 21 years of age.
