Studio portrait of 5299 Private (Pte) Colin Alan Longbourne Greig, 27th Battalion, of Grange, SA. A clerk prior to enlisting in February 1916, Pte Greig embarked from Adelaide with the 14th Reinforcements on board HMAT Ballarat (A70) on 12 August 1916. On 8 August 1918 he died of wounds received at Villers-Bretonneux, France. Pte Greig was 23 years of age.
