Informal portrait of Ordinary Seaman (OS) John Ingram Campbell, HMAS Ruchcutter, of Exeter, NSW, formerly of Huntly, Scotland, and his parents, Mr and Mrs Campbell. OS Campbell enlisted in March 1941 and was later a crew member of HMAS Perth. OS Campbell and 356 others were killed when HMAS Perth was sunk off the Sunda Strait, Java, on 1 March 1942. OS Campbell was 19 years of age.
