A group of officers from the 18th Battalion on board HMAT Nestor (A71). Standing is Second Lieutenant (2nd Lt) Richard McGuinness Fitzgerald, an actor from West Maitland, NSW (later killed in action in France in 1916). Seated in the front are (left to right): 2nd Lt Eden Lloyd Davies, Vic; 2nd Lt Abel Richmond Sheath, NSW, (later killed in action 8 August 1918) and 2nd Lt John Percy Hill, NSW. Image from an album relating to the service of 4398 Corporal (Cpl) Cecil Hugo George Crisp, 18th (later 53rd) Battalion. Crisp enlisted in July 1915 and returned to Australia in June 1919.
