Stephens, Leonard Aspinall (Private, b.1899 - d.1916)
Description
Collection relating to 750 Private Leonard Aspinall Stephens, 30 Battalion, Australian Infantry Force who was killed in action in France on 20th July 1916. Comprises a memorial poster [oversized] showing pictures of the various memorial in Europe and names the place where Pte Stephens' name is recorded, a letter dated 11 June 1926 and written by I.H. Lillie to Pte Stephens' father Syd, describing his visit to and the erection of VC corner in France, and two postcards - one field service postcard dated 5 March 1916, and the other written by Pte Stephens addressed to his mother.
