Studio portrait of 12524 Plumber 1st Class Percy John Christian Willis, HMAS Sydney, of Campbelltown, NSW, with family and friends. From left: Stanley Willis (son); Mrs Thompson (family friend); Mrs Amy Willis; Vida Willis (daughter); Plumber 1st Class Percy John Christian Willis; Edna Willis (daughter and twin to Vida); Thelma Palmer (fiancee of son Kay Willis); Jim Green (family friend); Joyce Hampson (family friend); Malcolm Willis (son). Plumber 1st Class Willis is being welcomed home on the occasion of HMAS Sydney's return to Sydney. Willis died, aged 41, on 20 November 1941 when HMAS Sydney was lost in a naval engagement off the coast of Western Australia.
