Studio portrait of 1966 Private (Pte) Percy Henry David Allengame, 32nd Battalion. A linesman from Tailem Bend, South Australia, prior to enlistment, he embarked with the 3rd Reinforcements from Adelaide on 7 February 1916 aboard HMAT Miltiades (A28) for Suez. The battalion relocated to the Western Front, France in mid-June 1916. Pte Allengame was reported missing in action after the Battle of Fromelles on 20 July 1916 and was subsequently determined to have been killed in action on that day. He has no known grave and he is commemorated on the VC Corner Australian Cemetery Memorial, Fromelles, France. He was aged 24 years.
