Collection relating to the Second World War service of VX50665 Private Walter Henry Dawson, 2/3 Australian Commando Squadron, Second Australian Imperial Force, Australia, 1946.
Wallet 1 of 1 – Consists of one letter from the Australian Military Forces to Mrs M J Wallace, Melbourne, Victoria, 1 May 1946. This letter contains the citation for the Military Medal of Private Dawson, which describes his courage during the successful attack on Timbered Knoll, near Salamaua, New Guinea on 29 July 1943.
