Description
Grave of Lance Corporal C Hanson. Inscribed: R.I.P. In Memory of L/CPL C. HANSON, 18 Batt [Battalion] AIF KILLED IN ACTION 28.7.16. Unable to verify this combination of details, but it is most likely the grave for 3087 Lance Corporal George Edward Hanson, 17th Battalion who was killed in action 28 July 1916. Twelve tins are laid in the shape of a cross, a helmet at the base of the cross, and barbed wire is strung around the grave.
