The original graves in El Alamein War Cemetery, of (centre) SX7331 Sergeant (Sgt) Jack Frederick Golding, 2/48 Battalion, of Coromandel Valley, SA, and (right) SX9529 Lance Corporal (L/Cpl) Alfred Frederick Lear, 2/48 Battalion, of Bourke, NSW. Sgt Golding, aged 29, and L/Cpl Lear, aged 32, were killed in action on 10 July 1942.
