Men of the 1st Australian Task Force Light Aid Detachment (1ATF LAD) replacing a rotten tent. 5411459 Craftsman (Cfn) Gordon William McAlpine is at left rear with arms outstretched and Cfn ? Ormond is in the foreground. Following Viet Cong rocket attacks sandbag walls had to be improved and up to three feet of protection was added to weapons pits and tents. Home made furniture, boots and clothing, helmets and personal equipment are scattered on the floor.
