Description
US ArmyBell UH-1 Iroquois (Huey) helicopter, the personal aircraft of a high ranking American officer, on a helipad at the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF). The helicopter is armed with side mounted rocket launchers, machine guns and a 40mm directional grenade launcher mounted under the nose. Unit insignia and a shark's mouth are beneath the cockpit. The pilot maintained the aircraft's highly polished finish during the long periods spent waiting for his comanding officer's return and is seen here stretched out and sleeping on top of the cabin.
