Shorts : Australian army
Khaki polyester wool shorts with front pleats, slash pockets in each side seam, an inset change pocket below the proper right waistband and a welt pocket with flap over the right buttock. The shorts close with a metal zippered fly, white metal slide and fabric tab secured by a khaki plastic button. Seven self fabric belt keepers are placed around the outside waistband. A further four small horizontally aligned keepers are sewn to the bottom of the waist band, which can support a webbing parade belt, if worn. A strip of non-slip tape woven with the initials 'ADI' is sewn around the inside waist. The pocket bags are of green nylon. A white label with black print sewn to the back pocket bag gives care instructions, carries the ADI logo, and is further marked '1992 [broad arrow symbol] 8405-66-090.0094'.
