Studio portrait of A J Labatt. Image is from a commemorative Honour Board with a group portrait and individual studio portraits of men who worked at Hoffnung & Co Ltd, Brisbane, Queensland and who served in the First World War. Believed to be 80 Private Andrew Jack Labatt, 41st Battalion from Warwick, Queensland. An 18 year old commercial traveller prior to enlisting on 11 January 1916, he embarked for overseas with A Squadron, 14th Australian Light Horse Regiment from Sydney on 13 May 1916 aboard HMAT Beltana (A72). He served on the Western Front with the 41st Battalion and arrived back in Australia on 4 July 1919.
