Paybook photograph of 11641 Private (Pte) William Rudolph Kunkel, 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR). A resident of Howard, Qld, prior to enlistment, Pte Kunkel commenced service in Korea on 1 April 1952. Pte Kunkel was assumed missing, presumed killed in action on or after 16 November 1952, aged 22. He is commemorated on Wall 2 in the United Nations Memorial Cemetery, Korea.
