Paybook photograph of 2400798 Private (Pte) John William Nicholson, 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR). A resident of Footscray, Vic, prior to enlistment, Pte Nicholson commenced service in Korea on 14 August 1952. Pte Nicholson was reported assumed missing, presumed killed in action on or after 14 May 1953, aged 21. He is commemorated on Wall 2 in the United Nations Memorial Cemetery, Korea.
