Group portrait of Australians being repatriated to Australia aboard the SS City of Poona. Identified personnel include: Front row, far right and second from right are Mrs Edith Jackson (nee Shephard) and her husband Captain Albert Edward Jackson MC, 53rd Battalion, with their young son Leonard William Jackson on his father's lap. Another unidentified boy is being held by his father, a recipient of the MC and MM, in the shade at right. They were on their way to Australia with hundreds of other AIF men being repatriated. Leonard Jackson enlisted in the Second World War and died as a prisoner of the Japanese at Sandakan, Borneo, on 16 April 1945.
