Studio portrait of NX90575 Private (Pte) Michael John McGillion, 2/48 Battalion, of Bondi, NSW (originally Christchurch, New Zealand). A fireman prior to enlistment from Paddington, NSW on 22 February 1942, Pte McGillion was killed in action in Borneo on 17 May 1945; he was 31 years of age.
