Studio portrait of 2809 Private (Pte) Harold George Day, 44th Battalion. A labourer of Wagin, WA, he embarked with the 6th Reinforcements aboard HMAT Persic on 29 December 1916. Pte Day was wounded in action, and died of these wounds on 4 October 1917. He was aged 21 years.
