Description
A memorial card incorporating a screened portrait of 1910 Private (Pte) Walter "Nip" Snell, 41st Battalion of Murwillumbah, NSW (originally of Cerney, Gloucestershire, England). A labourer prior to enlistment, he embarked with the 2nd Reinforcements on 16 August 1916 aboard HMAT Boorara. He was killed in action at Messines, Belgium, on 23 June 1917, aged 26 years.
