A memorial card incorporating a photographic portrait of 4221 Private (Pte) Eric Alleyne Hall Thomas, 26th Battalion of Ballina, NSW. A carter prior to enlistment, he embarked with the 10th Reinforcements on 28 March 1916 aboard HMAT Commonwealth. He died of wounds received at Franvilliers, France, on 28 May 1918, aged 26 years.
