Studio portrait of 432498 Flight Sergeant (Flt Sgt) Donald Murray Easton RAAF, 61 Squadron RAF. Flt Sgt Easton of Rozelle, NSW, enlisted on 2 January 1943, training as a signaller and he wears the signaller's 'S' brevet which was adopted in 1943. Along with the crew, he was lost on operations on 21 March 1945 over Germany. Flt Sgt Easton was aged 20 years. The other crew members were 422898 Flying Officer (FO) John Swales RAAF, FO Charles Saunders RAF, Flight Sergeant (Flt Sgt) Ralph Taylor RAF, Sgt William Lane RAF, Sgt Thomas Torney RAF and Sgt John Davies RAF.
