Informal portrait of QX9328 Corporal (Cpl) Rowland George Austin, 2/25 Battalion. Private Austin enlisted on 17 June 1914 and he was promoted to Corporal in March 1943. Cpl Austin was killed in action in New Guinea on the 12th September 1943, aged 23.
