Description
Souvenir invitation and programme for a concert held to entertain troops during the First World War. The souvenir invites Major Walter Whyte Ellis to a performance by the 13th and 14th Battalions, held on the SS Ulysses on 23 January 1915. The reverse of the programme depicts a Scottsman with bagpipes, a rose, a thistle, a shamrock, and a kangaroo. Songs, recitations, a musical monologue, and a sketch were performed.
