Studio portrait of 104 Corporal (Cpl) Thomas Douglas Leatherby, 114th Howitzer Battery 14th Brigade Australian Field Artillery. A carter from Sydney before embarking aboard HMAT Orsova (A67) on 17 July 1915, Cpl Leatherby died of wounds received, from a shell, whilst manning an ammunitions wagon in Joncourt, France, on the 4th October 1918. He was 18 years old.
